Aag is a Bollywood action drama film created by Ram Gopal Varma. The film was an official remake of the cult film Sholay. The remake features Amitabh Bachchan, Mohanlal, Ajay Devgan, Prashant Raj Sachdev and Sushmita Sen. It was released on 31 August 2007, and was met with negative responses from critics. The remake was previously titled Ram Gopal Varma Ke Sholay but due to Varma's infringement of Sippy's trademark and copyright, the Delhi High Court ordered the name change, and was therefore renamed to Aag. Aag was heavily panned by critics, and became the biggest Bollywood flop of the year 2007.
