Born Edward John David Redmayne on January 6, 1982, in London, England, British actor Eddie Redmayne was educated at Eton College and later graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge, with a degree in Art History. His acting journey began with stage performances during his university days, demonstrating early on the talent that would propel him to stardom. A versatile performer, Redmayne's career took off when he played the role of Viola in Mark Rylance's all-male production of Twelfth Night at Shakespeare's Globe Theatre in 2002.
