Dory is always getting Nemo's name wrong, instead she'll call him something like "Elmo". She feels like she can remember things when she is around Marlin, i.e. she remembers the address, "42, Wallaby Way, Sidney". and dispite their differences, they form a special bond and become best friends. Dory brings out Marlin's inner spirit and makes him see the fun side of life. Dory loves making new friends so much that she even befriends a vegetarian Great White Shark named Bruce and his two vegetarian shark pals. She joins their club which uses the slogan "Fish are friends, not food", and the sharks are amazed when they hear Dory has never eaten a fish. Dory is the person who finds Nemo after he gets back to the ocean. She befriends him and takes him to his father.
