Howling: New Moon Rising is a 1995 direct-to-video horror sequel to The Howling and the seventh film in Howling film series, directly succeeding Howling VI: The Freaks. The movie was written and directed by Clive Turner. Turner also starred in the film as Ted Smith, a man that has arrived in a small western town with his own personal agenda. New Moon Rising utilizes footage from the previous three sequels in the Howling series, Howling IV: The Original Nightmare, Howling V: The Rebirth, and Howling VI: The Freaks, and features characters from each movie.
